Former City Council President
Served three terms on Pontiac City Council
Played a key role in resolving the Phoenix Center lawsuit, saving taxpayers millions
Community Advocate
As Co-Executive Director of Oakland Forward, Kermit champions equity and opportunity for Oakland County residents, working to expand access to jobs, education, and economic resources.
Youth Advocate
Kermit spearheaded the youth recreation millage, restoring youth programming after a decade-long gap. He currently serves on the Pontiac Youth Assistance Board.
Man of Faith and Service
An elder at New Mount Moriah International Church, Kermit also serves on the board of End Gun Violence Michigan, bringing moral clarity and compassion to his leadership.
